Byron Bay
Coyote's and Cheeky Monkey's
Friday night we celebrated the end of the Surf Trip at Coyote's, a "Tex-Mex" restaurant! Meagan and I tried out the margaritas and the fajitas... both were good except the fajitas weren't very "Tex-Mex!" The group started out ready to party with tequila shots and coronas... then we headed to the backpacker bar next door, Cheeky Monkey's. It was so fun to be at the bar because everwhere I looked I literally saw at least 2 people that I knew! The dinner tables in the bar become dance floors after 10pm and we spent over 5 hours dancing on crowded tables with all of our friends! It was so fun!
Jack, Jay, Rich, Chris, and Kyle at Coyote's
Martin our favorite Danish boy! The funniest thing is that when he gets drunk he loses the ability to speak in English and no one can understand him! hahaha
Chris from England was so hilarious... he kept taking off his shirt and waving it over his head until the bouncer would kindly ask him to put it back on. Again and again this happened... but it just got funnier every time. Afterwards, as we were walking down the street, we hear this reggae music blaring and see this rickshaw slowly moving past us with Chris standing in the back waving his shirt over his head! haha
On our way home, we decided to try one of Australia's famous Meat Pies which are supposedly addictive. Yeah, the consensus among all the north Americans was that they are disgusting mystery meat and should not be consumed! haha
Byron Beach
Saturday the whole clan (13 + people) layed at the beach and watched a couple of our friends who had rented surf boards try to surf... they learned it's definitely not easy when you don't have the huge whale-sized longboards!
That night Meg and I went to sleep around 9pm because we were knackered!
